About the author
Jesús Marrone learned to play the guitar on his own in the 1990s, before the internet connected the world. Marrone tuned the radio to record tapes of his favourite songs, transcribe the lyrics and extract the chords. With no formal musical training, he devised a system for creating songbooks with simple chords and summary information, so that each song took up only one page.
Over the years he has learnt to sing more than 1,000 songs and, realising that songbooks often have complex chords and take up several pages per song, he decided to publish his compilations to help other musicians.
Today you can find Marrone playing ukulele or guitar anywhere in the world. He will love to sing with you 😊.
